10am Only ten minutes away, you’ll find yourself at Eindhoven’s Design District Strijp-S. Which was known as ‘the forbidden city’ since the area was only accessible to Philips’ employees. Young and upcoming companies found their way into Strijp-S and fuelled the area with innovative and artistic projects. The complete renovation of the area will take many more years, but in the meantime you will find many cultural and artistic extravagances. Already a true hotspot is Urban Shopper, a unique and exclusive shopping walhalla with twenty special shops full of design, vintage and interior items.

Visit the little boutiques at De Bergen. At the Scandinavian concept store Deense Kroon, you will find a mix of women’s, men’s and kids’ fashion combined with lifestyle and interior items by hip Scandinavian designers. If you are looking for vintage and pre-loved items, don’t miss Eeden concept store. Here you will find real gems at great prices.
In less fine weather, visit the indoor shopping centres de Heuvel or Piazza Center, a five-minute walk from the hotel. If it’s raining, shopping malls Heuvelgalerie and Piazza Centre are located at just 3 minutes distance from the hotel.
