Our quality controller and mascot Dustin has visited Inntel Hotels Amsterdam Zaandam and Inntel Hotels Art Eindhoven during the past months. He submerged himself in the history of Zaandam and Eindhoven.

Both hotels have interesting features. What do you think of swimming with a backdrop of the Zaanse Schans or sleeping in an old Phillips factory? During his visit to Zaandam and Eindhoven Dustin the Duck went on adventures in and around the hotel Read all about his exploits and why a visit to these hotels should be included on your to-do list.

Dutch culture in Zaandam

Dustin’s starts his city trip in Zaandam in the Founders Suite. These rooms were inspired by the Founders of the biggest companies of the region like Albert Heijn, the Bloemendaal family and Enricus Verkade. The suite offers guests a Rainshower, XL king-size bed, a whirlpool, private sauna and a separate living room. Dustin is only tempted to leave the room for a dip in the pool. The magnificent pictures on the wall give him the real sense of being in Zaandam.

A bike ride through the Zaan region

You can see a lot more of the area when you explore it by bike. That is why Dustin chooses one of the Inntel Hotels bicycle routes. It is a very interesting tour past the Zaanse Schans, picturesque villages and chocolate factories. Do you enjoy tasting local products? Zaandam is heaven on earth for chocolate and cheese lovers. You can’t miss out on a chocolate tasting at the chocolate factory. Ready to taste some more food? Dustin’s personal recommendation is to ride past Edam for some tasty cheese.

From Zaandam to the city of lights

One last picture with the fairy tale like the exterior of Inntel Hotels Amsterdam Zaandam before Dustin continues to the south. Eindhoven is a city with much to offer tourists. It is the capital of design and has an industrial character. During his stay, Dustin looks for those details that reflect that spirit. The colossal entrance of Inntel Hotels Art Eindhoven really gives him that factory vibe. Dustin has an eye for detail. He can easily spot all the attention to detail and design with which the hotel was decorated.
Dustin takes his time for the gallery. It is a high glass structure with steel framing. An impressive, industrial hall filled with (local) modern art. There are a few statues with paint splatters in the room. A favourite of Dustin’s is the monkey. It almost feels like he is welcoming you inside.

Rooms with personality

When he arrives in the room Dustin spots the ‘hint’ to Philips. There’s a painting with a woman in a traditional uniform. The history of the location is incorporated in a modern way in the design of the room. Our feathered quality controller gives the hotel a 10 out of 10 for design. He’s ready to explore some more when the round whirlpool catches his eye. He is happy to end his day with a soak in the tub. Even employees need to relax…
