Inntel Hotels Amsterdam Landmark

Inntel Hotels Amsterdam Landmark is under construction

Inntel Hotels officially started the construction of the second hotel in the city of Amsterdam “Inntel Hotels Amsterdam Landmark” on Thursday, January 27th 2019. After 9 months the 9th floor of a total of 16 floors has been built. The highest floor is expected to be completed in March 2020.

Design

Inntel Hotels Amsterdam Landmark will be provided with 305 rooms and 3 meeting and events rooms. The rich industrial history of the location is used as inspiration for its design. Concrete, steel and large bolts are incorporated into the different design elements. The look is industrial, creative and playful at the same time.

Rooms

The new hotel will feature 4 different room types. The well-known round whirlpools are placed in the rooms, as well as the private saunas. A number of rooms are provided with a balcony. Located just outside the city centre Inntel Hotels Amsterdam Landmark offers unique views over Amsterdam. There is a view over the Dijksgracht, Amsterdam East and Amsterdam Central Station will be visible from the top floors.

Restaurant

Restaurant ‘Werkspoor’ is located on the ground floor and has a view of the water. The name is derived from ‘Werkspoor’ founded in 1826. It started as a repair shop for steam engines and eventually became of the largest machine factories of the Netherlands in 1850.

Wellness

As part of the Inntel Hotels concept, spa facilities will be available in the hotel. The second floor of Inntel Hotels Landmark will have a wellness area with a view over the courtyard. It is a place for full comfort with an infinity pool, Finnish sauna, Turkish steam bath and massage area.

Location

Inntel Hotels Amsterdam Landmark is located in Oostenburg; one of the three historic
Eastern Islands of Amsterdam. The island will be transformed into a bustling city district with restaurants, shops and houses. It’s easily accessible by public transport, car and bicycle.

History

Oostenburg has a rich industrial past. The VOC ships were once built here. Forward in time, companies like Werkspoor and Stork settled in this area. They produced locomotives and enormous diesel engines. Elements of this vibrant industry reflect in the architectural design.
