When you exit Amsterdam Central Station and walk towards Dam Square you will see these beautiful Canal houses. With the proper lighting, it isn’t hard to shoot a beautiful picture.

2. “Lovers bridge”

“Lovers bridge” or so some call the Magere Brug. Which translates as Skinny Bridge.  A lot of couples take their wedding pictures on this bridge, hence the nickname.

3. Ons lieve heer op solder

This church is special for two reasons. The very picturesque pink interior and its location. It is a church in an attic. It is part of museum Ons’lieve heer op solder.

4. Rijksmuseum

A visit to the Rijksmuseum is a recommendation in itself. Just a picture with the building is well worth it. If you don’t have time to visit the Nightwatch and all the other beautiful artwork.

5. De Zevenlandenhuizen

Zevenlandenhuizen otherwise known as the seven-country houses are also a popular spot. A lot of people pose in the doorway of the Spanish house

6 & 7.  A’DAM Toren and EYE Filmmuseum

Amsterdam also has a lot of modern, beautiful locations to take pictures of. In Amsterdam Noord there are two located right next to each other. The A’DAM Toren and the EYE. The journey there is also a lot of fun. You get to go with a free ferry from Amsterdam Centraal. Of course from the top of the tower you can also take a lot of beautiful shots.

8. REM-Island

The REM island used to be a broadcasting platform for an illegal channel. Nowadays it is a restaurant. And it offers an amazing view of Amsterdam.
